Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Technicians

We have several immediate openings for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Technicians in several cities across the US. KR Wolfe’s growing customer base includes installation of medical equipment, integration projects, construction and renovation projects, water purification systems, x-ray security screening equipment and more! As a technician, you have opportunities to work in a multi-use role and with any number of our customers.

In general, the technician position is a 100% travel position to various project sites located across the US.

Requirements may include a combination of the following skillsets:

  • Proficient cabling installation and cable management skills
  • Electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire suppression and HVAC system related experience
  • Integration, networking and AV
  • Basic electrical skills for equipment tie in
  • Construction skills such as drywall and framing
  • Ability to read plans and follow the scope of work, installing all equipment to specifications
  • Ability to multi-task and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with an attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems using independent judgment and decision-making processes
  • Ability to work in a crouched or kneeling position and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 70+ pounds
  • Must have ability to travel. This position can be up to 100% travel.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including requirements to work in secured and hospital environments

 

Construction Project Manager (OSHPD)

We are currently searching for a Construction Project Manager who is looking to be a part of a growing business division. This person will be supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of the construction project. You have the ability to manage small to mid-scale hospital projects under the jurisdiction of the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) and working with a project team for design, construction, quality control, project controls, issue resolution, and close out.

Core duties and responsibilities including, but limited to, the following:

  • Exemplary leadership qualities and managerial skills
  • Provides direction and oversight to Superintendent when needed
  • Manages weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Coordination of entire jobsite, trades, start dates, and sequencing scope
  • Coordinates jobsite walks
  • Preconstruction meetings with subcontractors
  • Oversees punch list completion
  • Review plans or specifications to determine work requirements
  • Ensures that specifications are met
  • Manage the project using established project controls and procedures
  • Perform constructability and coordination reviews
  • Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management
  • Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling and cost control
  • Buy-out of job by determining the sub-contracting strategy for the project and preparing front-end documents and bid processes under various project delivery models
  • Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external use
  • Provide jobsite leadership in the area of safety and quality
  • Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit
  • Review each project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review the work progress on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage direct employees as well as subcontractors
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to each job’s status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Other duties may be assigned

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Superintendent experience with small to mid-scale hospital projects
  • OSHA Certified
  • Successful track record managing OSHPD projects
  • Understanding project scheduling requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of building codes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Projects/Suretrak
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Great management techniques
  • Organization skills
  • Knowledge and experience with all trades
  • Able to train on and/or navigate construction management software
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Project
  • Certifications preferred: LEED, DBIA

Superintendent (OSHPD)

We are also looking for a Superintendent to join the Construction Services team. This is a perfect position for someone who knows how to work hard and effectively; and enjoys the satisfaction of doing the job well. You take initiative, are dedicated and are willing to be challenged. You demand excellence and are willing to work hard to get it. Your management skills are second to none, enhanced by your ability to resolve job site issues as they arise. You are a self-starter and perform your work above industry standards maintaining professionalism at all times. You nurture a positive relationship with clients, subcontractors, architects, suppliers, and other personnel. You are a team player in search of a long term successful construction career.

  • Review plans or specifications to determine work requirements
  • Complete daily reports
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction workers
  • Provides direction and oversight to Assistant Superintendent when needed
  • Ensures that specifications are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Construction Labor Foreman

We are also looking for a Construction Labor Foreman to join the Construction Services team. This essential role will be assisting the project team in ensuring timely and successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Project Superintendent
  • Maintaining a clean job site – pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  • Framing and Drywall experience
  • Set up and take down ladders, barriers and other temporary structure
  • Load and unload trucks and haul
  • May assist with controlling traffic

Qualifications:

  • Previous construction experience is required
  • Hospital construction/OSHPD experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on commercial construction projects
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Experience working in a hospital construction environment highly preferred
  • Dependable and consistent
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings, including requirements to work in a hospital environment
