The KR Wolfe team recently completed the Pediatrics Operating Room at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria IL. We were responsible for the video integration and install of the Stryker video routing equipment, Stryker displays, endoscopy equipment and digital capture/device control. The endoscopy camera, displays, light source and insufflator are controlled both manually and by voice command.
The main challenge our crew encountered was that the video routing equipment was installed in a cabinet outside of the operating room. Extended cable runs were required. Also some of the equipment located in the OR that normally connect to the video router via copper DVI needed to be connected via DVI over fiber optics. The KVM feature to control two of the PC’s also had to be extended utilizing USB over CAT5e.
