PROJECT DETAILS
Sharp Memorial Hospital Outpatient Pavilion is part of the Sharp Metropolitan Medical Campus.
OR Rooms 1, 2, 3 & 5 are underutilized and lack an equipment boom. During the original building construction, the operating rooms were constructed with the above ceiling infrastructure to accommodate future boom installation.
The goal of the project is to collaboratively work with the Sharp FMD, Sharp OPP staff, Berchtold/Stryker, and Storz to ensure the equipment booms are installed complete, functional and operable, with all installation work being performed over consecutive weekends.
The “mini” booms hold endoscopic equipment and require modifications to the existing boom structure, medical gas connections, electrical and data. Verification of the existing above ceiling infrastructure is required to verify the location of the utilities for final connection to the new equipment boom. Provide boom mount structural modifications, final connections and terminations at the equipment boom. The Design-Build Team is responsible for providing all work above the ceiling and to the equipment boom. The Design-Build Team will coordinate the drawings, work with Berchtold/Stryker and Storz to identify any gaps between vendors to ensure the equipment boom is fully functioning and operable.
