A team of KR Wolfe integration specialists completed a full integration project at UK HealthCare, which included equipment in 8 regular operating rooms and 1 hybrid operating room. The state-of-the-art equipment included an X-ray machine, seven booms, four light monitor suspensions, and two LCD monitors in each of the regular operating rooms. Speakers and two cameras were also integrated on the wall.
One of the challenges KR Wolfe successfully mitigated was that the hub at UK HealthCare allows communication throughout the hospital to each room with full audio and video. KR Wolfe successfully integrated their work over the fiber-optic cabling to fulfill the requirements of this specialized system.
